Job Summary

GP Strategies is seeking a Technical Training Assistant to be a part of our Maverick Solutions team. The position involves the creation, development and finalization of activities to support the objectives of Maverick’s training material. Technical Training Assistants work directly for the Curriculum Product Managers under the supervision of the Lead Technologist to design and create simulations for learners. They are also responsible for troubleshooting issues within Oracle Cloud and giving guidance on the best course of action when developing an activity.

This role is responsible for simulations, documentation, and other resources that will be used by learners as technical lab activity content for training on their regular use of Oracle Cloud.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Verifying and updating pre-written simulations within the system or creating new simulations capturing activities using an HTML capturing tool

  • Uploading activity to the appropriate learning portal, where it is reviewed by a Quality Assurance team

  • Applying the recommended edits and updates, and then verifying if the activity is customer ready

  • Keeping the associated content updated, including verification of navigation pathways and screenshot examples that are used throughout to written courseware to assist the learner

  • Promptly communicating errors and job hindrances to the assigned CPM, promptly communicating remedy solutions and meeting project deadlines

These are temporary, full time positions based in our Wake Forest office, with the possibility of extension. In case-by-case scenarios and through the approval of the Curriculum Manager, the Technical Training Assistant may work up to 25% of his or her weekly hours outside the office.


  • An average or strong background with the HTML language

  • A background in understanding various computer software applications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills

  • A background in troubleshooting/researching/diagnosing problems that occur within the server and communicating the issue to the system support team

  • Working both independently and as a team


  • Minimum of two years’ experience with various systems technologies

  • Minimum of at least one year with Microsoft Word and Excel applications
