JOB REQUIREMENTS: Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) invites applicants for a part-time Trainer to join our Applied Technology Center or Professional Education department. The Adjunct Trainer position is assigned to individuals employed on a part-time basis by MSOE to prepare and deliver non-credit, professional education and training. It is mutually understood that specific assignments will be less than full-time employment and may vary from month-to-month, to include the possibility of having no assignment. Total annual workload will be limited to no more than 50 percent. Hourly salary will be based upon qualifications to include professional and previous training experience, along with academic credentials. Compensation will be determined each pay period to be proportionate with the actual training assignment. Because the position is hired on a part-time basis, incumbents are not eligible to participate in any employee benefits beyond Social Security. The appointment to adjunct trainer is for the period of one-year and subject to regular performance review. Opportunity for renewal will be based on performance and MSOE need. These positions are intended to support the efforts of MSOE's professional development and education units and are not for individuals teaching in an academic department or school. Based on the above mentioned conditions, adjunct trainers are needed for the following fields: Pneumatic Systems Electrical Systems Mechanical Systems Mechanical Maintenance Process Engineering Industrial Safety Responsibilities The adjunct trainer will be responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating industrial training programs nationwide in the USA and possible overseas. The ideal candidate should have industrial experience as well as teaching experience in the subject matter. He/She should be able to teach premade material or to customize material upon request. Job code: 111 ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of technical training experience in one of the above mentioned fields. Bachelor's degree in ME or EE is a must. Post graduate studies are extra. Solid understanding of the basic theory and teach in a practical-oriented way. Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills. Demonstrated ability to lead groups and analyze materials for the purpose of training documentation and training class development.
