Job Summary: The Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for the functional and technical analysis, implementation, customization and support of the internal Learning Management System (LMS). This position typically requires a High school diploma and 2 years related experience. As this position is part of a team responsible for the education of others, a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with Learning Management System (LMS) vendor to provide technical support, including troubleshooting issues, responding to inquiries, system maintenance, and ensuring consistency among employee data.

  • Will act as helpdesk type support for end users in regards to the training systems and softwares.

  • Assists with creation of training materials and testing materials for employees, including eCourses.

  • Maintains course content, manuals, and other training materials. Archives content no longer in use.

  • Assists with identifying and assessing knowledge and skill gaps within the organization.

  • Performing various administrative and learning and development related projects and programs as assigned.

  • Creates custom reports as needed.


  • High School diploma. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 2 years’ related experience in learning and development.

  • Previous Learning Management System (LMS) experience preferred.

  • Experience working with third-party vendors.

  • Working knowledge of SQL and HTML preferred.

  • Ability to investigate, analyze and solve complex problems/issues.

  • Expert ability to translate business needs and problems into solutions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work well with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines.

  • Strong organizational and process management skills.

  • Ability to meet deadlines. Excellent time management skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • High customer service orientation.
