Job Summary: The Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for the functional and technical analysis, implementation, customization and support of the internal Learning Management System (LMS). This position typically requires a High school diploma and 2 years related experience. As this position is part of a team responsible for the education of others, a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Work closely with Learning Management System (LMS) vendor to provide technical support, including troubleshooting issues, responding to inquiries, system maintenance, and ensuring consistency among employee data.
Will act as helpdesk type support for end users in regards to the training systems and softwares.
Assists with creation of training materials and testing materials for employees, including eCourses.
Maintains course content, manuals, and other training materials. Archives content no longer in use.
Assists with identifying and assessing knowledge and skill gaps within the organization.
Performing various administrative and learning and development related projects and programs as assigned.
Creates custom reports as needed.
High School diploma. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2 years’ related experience in learning and development.
Previous Learning Management System (LMS) experience preferred.
Experience working with third-party vendors.
Working knowledge of SQL and HTML preferred.
Ability to investigate, analyze and solve complex problems/issues.
Expert ability to translate business needs and problems into solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines.
Strong organizational and process management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines. Excellent time management skills.
Attention to detail.
High customer service orientation.
