This position could be based out of our Denver,Atlanta, Portland, Walnut Creek or Cincinnati office. The candidate willprofessionally represent the company by interfacing with customers in thefield as well as from the office. This position requires well developedexperience inclusive of all disciplines including but not limited to civil,structural pipeline, mechanical and electrical, with an emphasis inWater/Waste Water. In addition to regular Estimating responsibilities, thesuccessful candidate will be well versed in Sage Construction and Real Estate300 software, have the ability to construct smart assemblies, maintaincost database and provide training to other Estimators.Job Expectations:Estimating man hours and materials needed to competitively bid bothtraditional and design-build projectsDevelop scopes of work associated with subcontracts and process equipmentProvide constructability and value engineering reviews of design documentsduring all phases of the projectDevelop and lead project estimates, with integrated support of otherestimates resourcesDemonstrated exposure to all aspects of the project delivery processInterfacing with vendors and subcontractorsDevelop and maintain customer relationships throughout the projectChange order negotiation as neededMaintain proprietary database and perform SQL server database updatesConstruct and edit smart assemblies within SAGEProvide guidance and training to Estimating teamDesired Skills and Experience:Associates degree or technical school certificate (BSEE or BSET preferred)10 years' minimum estimating experience inclusive of a broad set ofdisciplines including Civil, Mechanical, Structural, Architectural andsome Electrical estimating, with an emphasis on Water/Wastewater.Experience in developing complete project scopes of work and associatedcompetitive pricing utilizing proposal phase engineering document andfunctional scopes of supply in development of a complete cost modelProven ability to work independently under remote supervision with projectmanagers, project design teams and other estimators located in multipleregions of the countryExtensive knowledge of water and wastewater plant and process engineeringpractice, conventions and associated sequences of constructionSkilled in Sage Construction and Real Estate 300 estimating software(formerly Timberline Estimating Software) and Microsoft Office Suite(primarily Word, Excel, and Outlook)Familiarity with RS Means databases.Ability to update SQL server database with updated costs/quotes and maintainproprietary database.Demonstrated experience with constructing and editing smart assemblies withinSage to be used by all company estimators utilizing using RS Means databaseWorking knowledge of E-Takeoff or other automated take off software.In-depth knowledge of Sage CRE 300 software and ability to train otherestimators.Experience working with output from BIM models and putting into correct formatfor integration with estimating software.Working knowledge of Primavera P6 Scheduling Software and abili
