A large utilities company is seeking 3 Training Developers for a 1 month contract. As part of the training & development team, the eLearning Developer (Instructional Designer) develops instructor-led training (ILT) materials as well as engaging and innovative online learning environments (e-learning).This individual must be experienced in using Articulate Storyline and other e-learning authoring tools and develop e-learning content that allows for the effective and efficient use of systems, tools, and processes to provide employees with the skills required to perform their job tasks. Demonstrate an expertise in a wide range of training products and services which support organizational goals. This role is ultimately responsible for incorporating adult learning principles, and current instructional design theory.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain course materials including instructor manuals, participant guides, eLearning, train the trainer materials, job aids, evaluations, tests

  • Design learning solutions based upon audience needs and task analysis that include high level design documentation, recommended delivery method, curriculum content, and supporting materials to ensure mastery of learning objectives.

  • With senior staff guidance, establish, implement, and maintain instructional design methodologies, tools, and best practices.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Working hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Skills:

Knowledge of a systematic approach to development of training products and services. A broad knowledge of multiple training areas and integrates related knowledge and specialties.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extremely well-versed in application of design methodologies including but not limited to: ADDIE model, SAM , backward design, e-learning blueprint, and interactive learning experiences.

  • Proven experience in designing training materials in a corporate setting.

  • Advanced knowledge of training technologies such as mobile apps, interactive polling websites, and gamification.

  • Ability to be creative, flexible and innovative in course design.

  • Highly proficient computer skills to include MS Office Suite and learning management systems.

  • Demonstrated expertise in using authoring tools such as Captivate and Storyline to create sophisticated adaptive learning content.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Education, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated expertise in the development of training products and services, which typically requires in excess of 6 years experience to attain.
